I texted Firefly the other day. She is back with her parents. There are no issues with the boyfriend, but she was staying with the boyfriend, his mother, and the mother's boyfriend, and they are painting the house and preparing it for sale. Firefly cannot be around the fumes. At least this is the story. There could be more to it. Firefly can be a lot to deal with.
She got her car back, but she has an issue with the seat belt that keeps her from driving it. Firefly is working at a Greek Coney Island. She seems happy and in a better headspace. She and the boyfriend are looking for apartments. Good for her. It will be an uphill battle, but she may need this purpose to motivate her.
January is a long month, and this feels like a long week. I am glad it is almost done. Our temperatures are bitter cold, but the weather overall has been devoid of any deep snow in my area.
Ava has agreed to the trip in theory. A four-day road trip down to Cumberland Caverns and Nashville. I still need to book a cabin, a hotel, and a cave tour. We are going on the first weekend in April if the cabin we want is available. The last weekend in March is the alternative. I think it is a good time for an early trip, smack between St. Patrick's Day and Easter.
All sounds to be in its place for a positive future. Like the sound of that trip.
ReplyDeleteWell I hope so, I'd rather see Firefly alive, raising a child and clean than any other alternative.
DeleteLet us hope Firefly remains in a good place for a positive future, especially for the Child's sake. A Cave Tour sounds exciting, I've never done one but if there was a Cave Tour I'd be inclined to want to experience it at least once to cross off the Bucket List.
ReplyDeleteI know, right! I am booking a nice cabin so I think things will go well, and we can even spend a day in Nashville.
DeleteIt's cold here, too. And caves are fun! They've always had a fascination for me, the ones that have already been explored. I knew a spelunker once and his descriptions of crawling around on your hands and knees with only a little headlamp and a flashlight were anything but exhilarating.
ReplyDeleteYes, we will be sticking to the ones already explored.
DeleteI hope things work out for Firefly.
ReplyDeleteI hope you both have a good trip.
The trip will be the first week in April. Plenty of planning should ensure a good outcome.
DeleteI'm so glad days are getting longer.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Just in time for daylight savings time to screw it up.
