Final

It was late in the day when I put all the pieces together for these photos, so the lighting is not very good. I took it back down after to get it ready for transport. I will try to get some detailed images when I set it up again at the show.

Max came over Saturday and helped with tiling all the walkways. I must dig up a few more guards to include in the final display. I have not been to this place before, and I am a little concerned with people stealing pieces, but hopefully, it won't be a problem.

I will leave this display together for the September show and work on something new instead of trying to add to this display. Max has several Clone Wars jump ships. I think I will do something with those and perhaps a Halloween display. With the three I will have enough to cover two tables again.

Musical Chairs

Wednesday, Sam sent me a text. She was out shopping and saw patio chairs at a better price than we saw at another store. She asked if I wanted a pair. I meant to replace the chairs on my balcony. My chairs are rusted and old, but I have been dragging my heels because I don't use my balcony often. Sam bought me a couple of chairs and loaded them into her vehicle. I stopped by her work and picked them up yesterday. She is the best non-girlfriend a guy could have. So, I did make a purchase in March. The chairs were $40 a piece.

My display is coming along. Last night I built a tree. Earlier in the week, I connected the main fortress to the hexagonal tower from my previous display and roofed the stable.

A Snapshot Of March

In homage to Sarah H. at Death Wears Diamond Jewelry, who is no longer blogging but is missed.

Listening…  Melonie Mac Go Boom, on YouTube, she my latest internet crush. She is a little too religious, but I love her personality.

Reading…  Gardens of the Moon by Steven Erikson, I still haven't finished this.

Watching…  Alias, on Disney plus. Jennifer Gardner at her hottest. Back when strong female characters were not pushing a female agenda.

Creating …  A Lego display for a swap meet on April 1st and 2nd. I have also started writing a new book. It is a fantasy novel. I am sixteen pages into it.

Hoping… Work evens out.

Buying… I have managed not to buy anything lately. Third month in a row!

Loving...  (crickets here)

Planning… On gaining the strength back in my arms. I have been working them out regularly without any ill effects.

Missing…The early 2000s. The clothes were better. People were better the times were better.

Feeling… More motivated. I need to put down some of the games I have been playing, though.

Lego Display

Today I volunteered to make a custom Lego display for a local trade center/ swap meet. It is not a big show. I will be the only one displaying that I am aware of. It is mainly for vendors and sellers. I thought it would be fun and motivating. I haven't been working on my display much lately.

The show is only two weeks away. I have plenty of work ahead of me, but considering that the trade center is only two miles from my house, I figured what the heck. This could work into a regular gig. Maybe I can get them to pay me in the future.

It will be a variation of this layout.

I am looking forward to the challenge.

The Psychic

Sam and I went for pizza Friday night. After, we sat in the Gladiator and listened to my psychic reading. We both agreed the psychic wasn't wrong, but it wasn't an exciting reading. Here are the highs and lows.

She said Ava would reappear sometime in the spring, but we are toward the end of our relationship. She described Ava and her situation accurately and suggested her departure was not planned, but out of necessity. The psychic mentioned several women but described Ava exactly (goes back to my remote viewing theory).

She warned me a woman from the past coming around asking for money. This could be Firefly, though I didn't ask if it was her by name. I probably should have.

She said you have more female friends than male friends. She suggested although there will be women around 2023 was going to be a dry year in the dating market. She indicated I am going to start wondering if there is something wrong with me, but not to get caught up in that negative energy.

She did not mention Sam by name but described her and I doing things this summer. Sam agreed it was her. The psychic described the woman as like a placeholder until I get into a real relationship. a real relationship will happen in 2024. Let's hope it doesn't take that long. Sam says the psychic's timing is usually of.

I didn't ask about specific people this time. I wanted her to focus on me. She described me doing a lot of soul-searching this year and wrapping up old relationships. She does see me in a long-term relationship. Something, I don't really see.

Healthwise, no issues. Although she likes to mention my stomach. I think she picks up those issues from the past.

As far as work goes, I am a valuable employee they will not get rid of because they can give me a job that gets done without needing supervision. She did see a shift in responsibilities coming in the spring. This could be true. Shit is hitting the fan at work. I received two calls from my boss Saturday concerning emergencies and he never calls me.

Filler

In two days, I am going back to the psychic. It has been about ten months since my last reading. Looking back, she didn't do too bad. It is more fun than seeing a therapist; you don't have to go as often. It is not an exact science, but I do believe she sees something. Perhaps her talent is similar to remote viewing with a healthy dose of understanding people. I don't live by her words, but I cannot discount all of them either.

Tinkerbell and Tech are celebrating St. Patricks Day in downtown Detroit. She invited me to join them, but it sounds like too much work. I enjoy hanging with them, but I don't need the hassle of parking, the crowds, or the drinking.

The last few days have been cold with flurries. Something we didn't see much of during winter. Next week, the temperatures will start rising, hopefully. I have yet to begin looking for Ava's replacement again. My experiences with Kat and then Joy have left me not wanting to put in the effort. I am waiting a month and concentrating on regaining my upper body strength. I am adding more protein and fewer carbs to my diet.

I had one match on Bumble this week. A 43-year-old woman from the Ann Arbor area. I don't consider Bumble as actively looking for dates. Conversations there never go anywhere. She didn't want to bother with small talk. Instead, she wanted to meet for drinks right away. She didn't want to "answer twenty questions" but quickly asked where I work. She didn't bother reading my profile to figure out where I lived (an hour away from her).

In our brief conversation, she indicated social media was her new passion since giving up drinking. In her profile, she states yes to cannabis and kombucha. That says to me I don't she has just switched her substance of choice. I could be wrong, Ava would say she was pro both of those too, but they were never a part of our encounters. Ava only used cannabis bills to help her sleep.

Regardless, I am not interested in driving an hour away to meet her for coffee. She refers to Ann Arbor as A2. Ann Arbor is a very left-leaning area. I am more central in my political beliefs. She is a vegan. Her profile says no meat. There is so many non-starters there the only reason I bring her up is for blog filler.

Mystery Solved

Package update. I checked the barcodes on the package, but they did not give me any information. The package doesn't come from Amazon. Instead, it has come directly from a business. I posted a note on Nextdoor indicating the situation, which may generate a reply. Otherwise, I am not going to continue pursuing this. At some point, Hannah will realize her mistake and come looking for it.

It is one of the eleven neighbors on my court. I know half of these by either name or by sight. I have a sneaky suspicion it is the new renter two doors down. The one whose washing machine flooded my laundry room back in December when I was recovering from surgery. I am not a fan of hers.

Because it snowed today and I decided to work from home. I have been very productive and feel in a good mood. I might stroll over to her door later today to ask her. I'd be less inclined if it was worth keeping, but it is clothing. Or perhaps it is drugs inside clothing, and she doesn't want it to be delivered to her home. That would make a better story.

Update: Sunday afternoon, I asked the neighbor if it was her package. I caught up with a woman just leaving the condo. She was pulling away in her car. She indicated her mother lived in the condo and that Hannah was her sister. I handed over the package indicating she had been using the wrong address.

Addressing

Over the weekend, I was working upstairs when my doorbell rang. I seldom get unexpected visitors. It is usually solicitors, but it was late in the evening. I answered the door to a pizza delivery person. I told her she had the wrong address. This often happens with Door Dash deliveries. The odd thing about this order was she had the correct address. I told her I didn't order the pizzas, and she went on her way.

Yesterday there was a package on my porch. It had the correct address but the wrong name. It was for a Hannah Ramirez. I don't know anyone with that name. I think it is the same person who ordered the pizza. This leaves me wondering who doesn't know their own address?

I left the package on the porch overnight but removed it today. I don't want to invite porch pirates. I will not traipse through the complex, searching for this person. She can seek out my condo. It is still cold out.

I would seek out the owner if it had a different address, but it was delivered to the correct address.

Ava Update

Well, it looks like my adventures with Ava are ending, at least for now. I have been waiting to hear from her since we last met around February 10th. My last message on Snapchat went unread, and I tried reaching out to her via her work phone number today but have yet to get a response. She showed no indication that she wanted to stop seeing me the last time we met. Just the opposite, she was making plans for the future.

I'll have to assume she got caught. Probably not the first time, either. She had been adding extra layers of deception to her routine. Ava must have received another wrist slap or a stern threat. I doubt it will stop her for very long.

In the meantime, I won't be searching for a replacement this month. I don't see anyone exciting, and the last two were disappointing. I am going to miss Ava. She was definitely a good fit. Meanwhile, the list of characteristics I will accept is getting longer. I might have to accept moving forward without a relationship. I won't like it, but I am willing to accept it.

Brief Firefly Update

Nothing new to report here. Working harder than I'd like. Otherwise, I am lazy and unproductive.

Firefly posts everything on social. Her baby is adorable. She is doing well. As she wrote, Firefly is off probation in the county for the first time since she was eighteen. She is still working on her probation from the city of Warren. She has been clean for over a year and appears to have good friends around her. Definitely, a success story so far. Firefly has a long way to go, but she's still young. I say good for her.

It shows focusing on a family and having a purpose can bring stability to a person.
