New Year

I haven't ventured outside the house in days. New Year rolled in uneventfully, except for a drunken Tinkerbell call at midnight. We have gotten a dusting of snow the past two days, but nothing covered the roads.

I am looking forward to getting back to my routine. I only worked out a few times in the past two weeks. Though my weight has not changed much, I am sure my muscles are wasting away. Without my routine, there is no anticipating the time off.

I continued working on my project. It is coming along nicely. I have just started the ruined keep and some other buildings behind the wall. It takes a lot of mental planning, so it might not look like much has happened since the last pictures.

Ava and I plan to go to the Detroit Zoo to see the winter lights Thursday after work. It is supposed to be cold. The predicted high is only 27 degrees that day. I hope that keeps the crowd down. I am thinking about borrowing Alexis' electric vest for the day.

Happy New Year everyone. May this year bring a sense of normalcy!

  2. Well it is your summer. I don't usually go to a "gym" though I use the gym at work every lunch time. It keeps me in shape. ava appreciates that :). At my age, I cannot afford to let myself go.

    1. You too Lucy, don't work too hard. No one finishes the race at the top by doing that :).

    1. Michigan has a lot to offer. It may not be the prettiest state, but I'd say my area is one of the safest.
