Legos On The Mind

I accomplished more this weekend than I set out on my project and still made it out for a bike ride on Saturday. My biggest problem is a lack of specific colors and poor planning. I never planned for the display to be this big. I am struggling to expand it to fill the two tables respectably and keep artistic interest.

I have a concept for a tall wizards tower for the back corner. I am pleased with the appearance. I am waiting for some parts to arrive to put it together this week.  The final result should be taller than the tower in the front. Right now, it is in sections.

It will have a lower spire hanging off the side.

This will be the top, but the actual Tower will be almost twice the height.

I am moving the dragon from the cave on the side to the middle of a ruined castle.
I need to fill the inside with a mound of treasure and debrie

Completing the ruined castle will be tricky due to the part shortage. I have been stealing pieces from several of my finished models for parts.

My building table, which is 8' x 4', is not big enough to give me space to build. I guess that is a good thing considering I need to fill 8' x 5', but there is a lot of empty area in the back, as you can see.

I think my best solution, and the one I have been thinking about is to have the edges more organic and jagged. There is still plenty to do and only 67 days left. I am feeling the pressure.

  1. I think lack of planning for the model per se will not be a big problem, but don't forget to plan logistics, or bringing everything to destination will be a disaster!

    1. Yes logistics is being considered. Lucky I have the truck.

  2. I like the dragon. Getting him out of the cave would be an advantage, I think.

    1. I agree. Put the small dragon in the cave and the bigger one on a larger hoard in the castle.

  6. It is an exhibition. I have no doubts I would loose a competition, although I have been known to under estimate my skills.
