Hibernate

The new year is here. Tomorrow I have to return to work. I will be previewing my emails after I finish this post. I don't like coming back to a full slate. Looks like there are 80 emails waiting for me. That is not bad. I usually start a morning with 20 or more.

Last week my doctor said I was doing better than most. I feel good. The arm is healing nicely. I am back to my regular routines, minus any heavy lifting. I have a full range of movement; at this point, and the pain is no worse than before the surgery. I expect it to get even better as it heals.

I have a few new scars. The areas around my shoulder where he added stitches are still raised and puckered. That is annoying.

I have begun hibernating. Very little going on here. I did not build anything over the holidays, but I might get back into it today. Sam dragged me out for dinner yesterday, and Max stopped over on New Years' day.

  1. I get emails at work, too, always of people's house; our measure techs take pictures of possible flooring issues. After seeing thousands of living rooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms, 2 things are obvious: only about half of Americans actually clean, and that same % of Americans spend way too much money on shit.

    1. I clean all the time. I was raised that way. I do have too much shit if you include the Lego, otherwise I try to minimize the clutter.

  2. Take it easy as you ease back into work. I'm sure the stitches will heal up nicely eventually. And I'm sure it'll all be worth it once the pain completely heals away.

    1. I think it will be worth it too. I just need to do as you say and take it easy. I have a tendency to push too hard.

  7. Happy New Year, my friend! I've been absent a while so I don't know what happened to your arm but I hope you're doing OK. Glad you're taking it easy? Did you get any Lego for Christmas?!

    1. I am not sure what happened either. Getting old is my guess. Not much else to do but take it easy. I did not get any Lego this year. Not many good deals out there. Maybe after Christmas sales?
