On father's day, Max came over. he ordered food, and we played Warhammer 40k. I won, although it was close.
I'm still not a big fan of the game, but I think that is partly because I don't want to start painting my own figures. I have enough unfinished hobbies around the house.
I feel I need to make a list of home improvements to tackle this year. Minor repairs mostly, but I won't start anything inside until the end of summer or the fall. I don't plan on moving soon, but it doesn't hurt to keep the place up.

I've heard of Warhammer, but have never much thought about playing it, it's an MMO, I believe.
ReplyDeleteI only play it to connect with Max. I have a feeling he will get bored of it eventually.
DeleteI was into D&D when I was younger, but never into Warhammer. In the end, I never liked the idea of games that require people to invest money in (buying lots of staff, needing to work on it... not my cup of tea I guess).
ReplyDeleteI played D & D as a kid. Guys love to invest money in toys all their life. You would not believe the investment in Lego I have.
DeleteWell, Lego would be a different story, but I try to steer away also from things that end up taking too much space - the largest exception was allowing a table football on my terrace
DeleteOh the Legos take up a lot of space. They are all over the house.
DeleteLeftover plans is what defines it I guess. I don't know what I'd be without these pending things. Good to know that you've got stuff on your mind to take care of.
ReplyDeleteI can get complacent and let things slide, but eventually I get off my butt and do the work.
Deletecool sets! i used to know an online regular who was REALLY into Warhammer, knew every detail of every character and figure. this was like 6-7 years ago. alas, i lost touch with him as i lost touch with everyone when the Adult Swim Message Board deactivated lo those many years ago...
ReplyDeleteMax is really into it now, but I still think it will fade with him. He likes to experiment with things.
DeleteWhat a tidy Desk, I can't even see the surface of mine! Keeping up on things regularly beats letting things slide and then running damage control.
ReplyDeleteThat is the coffee table. It is usually empty except for a Lego. My desk is a bit more covered.
