Ringing In The Ear

Meniere's disease is the diagnosis for my ear. They put me on steroids, and I have an MRI scheduled in July.  It is the type of disease they don't know much about and don't have many solutions to.  It is a build-up of fluid in the inner ear, the cochlea.  The steroids don't seem to be helping yet.

More details from Firefly's arrest. She was arrested at Walmart for shoplifting. She had the drugs on her when they searched her. Stupid is as stupid does. Her car was left in the Walmart parking lot, but she had the only key. It was not in her possessions when I retrieved them from the jail.  The key could be with his possessions. I might try to get those, but there is no hurry at this point. The car was in the parking lot Saturday, but this morning it was gone. The police have no record of it being impounded. It might have been stolen, or something else might be going to I do not know about. Either way, I am not going to look further into it until they get out.

Her phone was not among her possessions either. I feel like she is back to stage one, back to where she was a year ago. All the help I have provided has gotten her nowhere. I am not sure what the future holds for her.  I hope she surrenders to the process and gets her shit straight.

  1. Sorry, but I don't think she will ever surrender. that would be an admission of guilt.

    1. I still like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but you could be right.

    1. The car is hers. Her father paid for it. It is not mine. I learned after the first time.

    2. Well, that's good news, at least you won't get in any trouble for it. Sorry for your ear - give steroids a chance, sometimes they work miracles - I hope that will be the case for you!

    3. The steroids are not working so far. I have good days and bad days. I am not responsible for the car in anyway, but it will leave her without transportation...again.

  5. Best of luck with the ear. Hopefully the steroids provide some relief soon. Best of luck to Firefly. Maybe this will be her rock bottom.

    1. So far the steroids are hit and miss. I am not sure if this is her rock bottom. We will see.

  6. Well at least they know what it is. I hope the meds help. I have Tinnitus and hear what sounds like cicadas all the time.

Sorry to hear of her arrest. I hope being in there helps, not sure if it actually does for most people though.

  7. How long is it supposed to take for the steroids to give you some relief?

    1. I don't know how long it is supposed to take. I was given a two week supply and the second week is a weaning off period of halve the dose.
