Quick Update

Quick update before I start my weekend. I had a Zoom call with Firefly today. Firefly didn't get to pick the times for her Zoom call. It will be reoccurring every Friday at 2:00 in the afternoon. My new office came in handy. I had some privacy.

She looks good. She is, mostly, staying out of trouble. The honeymoon stage of her treatment is over for her, but she is still positive. It is what she makes of it. There are still several unknowns concerning her release and court case. She will be in rehab for at least 90 days though.

Another person quit in the office. This one has a new job already. It has risen the level of talk concerning us working partially from home. For now, being down to people has stressed several of us with more work.

  1. 90 Days? Must be a fairly good rehab.

    1. Not really sure, but it is court ordered and county funded.

  2. I'm glad Firefly has a long Rehab, perhaps it will Take if she's in long enough? At least for now it's an improvement and mebbe she will want to enjoy sobriety, you never know. Sorry to hear folks are bailing at Work and it seems that's happening in a lot of workplaces. For various reasons, I think people have been thru so much already that now they're taking stock of what they demand at work and if they don't get it, move on... Life is indeed too short to stay somewhere you're not happy, adequately compensated or appreciated and valued.

    1. Indeed. I would like to move on also. I am looking for that balance between flexibility and compensation.

  3. I think the working format has changed now. Over here, many companies are letting people work remotely and those that insist on people coming into an office have seen many quit their jobs. Apparently, working from home has helped many people with anxiety and stress and made them more productive. Cutting down on travel time and "getting ready" time has eased a lot of pressure. Plus, you get to have a nap and be a bit more fexible!

    1. Exactly. Travel time and getting ready time are the worst. Getting up getting a cup of coffee and sitting down to work were the best.

  4. Hope the office lets you work from home more especially if it boosts morale and keeps the employees happy. Good luck to Firefly. Take care and have a great rest of your week.
