From Michigan we either drove through or stayed in the following states:

Utah- Springdale, Zion National Park, Moab, Arches National Park

Nebraska- Ogallala
Iowa- Davenport
Illinois
Indiana
We travel through sixteen states, including our own, in twenty-four days. Not enough time but we were ready to come home. There was less to see and do in the colder states. We canceled a stop in Chicago due to everything being closed and just drove home.
I do not mind being back to work. I see it as a necessary evil. At least we are still working from home for now. Not sure how much longer that will last.
Firefly managed to total the Saturn two days after our return. She rear ended another vehicle. I am not sure what to do with her. She is like a bad penny. As of now she is mopping around depressed because she doesn't have a car. It will take years for this one to learn.
Broom her? Do you really need the stress? I myself have begun the great purge this year of anything that adds to my plate in an unhealthy or monetary fashion.

ReplyDeleteJust have enabled too many leeches over the years. There is a personal cost for holding others up. As I get older, it becomes more taxing and not as rewarding.

I did enjoy the trip. Some never do learn. Even those that do seem to take an agonizingly long time.

Well the truck is doing fine considering. I love it but it is still a vehicle not a vanity item.

ReplyDeleteYou are the first person to actually mention my blog title. I don't think people seldom do. :) It has multiple meanings to me.
DeleteYes it can have multiple meanings and I'm sure those you have were Deep when choosing it as a Blog Title. It was a concept applied against personal estates of those who Offed themselves. I think so many of us can be Felons of ourselves and have self-destructive ways that are too numerous to mention.
DeleteI actually feel like I have tamed my more self destructive demons. The tattoo on my back is a statement to this. It is of a winged demon being constrained by a group of cherubs. The demon is stabbed in the chest by a spear and his blood has dribbled onto one of the cherubs. The meaning is that some innocents is lost when you tame your demons.
