In two days, I am going back to the psychic. It has been about ten months since my last reading. Looking back, she didn't do too bad. It is more fun than seeing a therapist; you don't have to go as often. It is not an exact science, but I do believe she sees something. Perhaps her talent is similar to remote viewing with a healthy dose of understanding people. I don't live by her words, but I cannot discount all of them either.
Tinkerbell and Tech are celebrating St. Patricks Day in downtown Detroit. She invited me to join them, but it sounds like too much work. I enjoy hanging with them, but I don't need the hassle of parking, the crowds, or the drinking.
The last few days have been cold with flurries. Something we didn't see much of during winter. Next week, the temperatures will start rising, hopefully. I have yet to begin looking for Ava's replacement again. My experiences with Kat and then Joy have left me not wanting to put in the effort. I am waiting a month and concentrating on regaining my upper body strength. I am adding more protein and fewer carbs to my diet.
I had one match on Bumble this week. A 43-year-old woman from the Ann Arbor area. I don't consider Bumble as actively looking for dates. Conversations there never go anywhere. She didn't want to bother with small talk. Instead, she wanted to meet for drinks right away. She didn't want to "answer twenty questions" but quickly asked where I work. She didn't bother reading my profile to figure out where I lived (an hour away from her).
In our brief conversation, she indicated social media was her new passion since giving up drinking. In her profile, she states yes to cannabis and kombucha. That says to me I don't she has just switched her substance of choice. I could be wrong, Ava would say she was pro both of those too, but they were never a part of our encounters. Ava only used cannabis bills to help her sleep.
Regardless, I am not interested in driving an hour away to meet her for coffee. She refers to Ann Arbor as A2. Ann Arbor is a very left-leaning area. I am more central in my political beliefs. She is a vegan. Her profile says no meat. There is so many non-starters there the only reason I bring her up is for blog filler.
It's good to know what you don't want as well as what you do.
ReplyDeleteThe more I experience, the more I learn that but it doesn't leave much room for someone.
DeleteSeeing a physic is on my bucket list. It something I want to experience.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
The physic I see does remote readings. It is not something I would recommend with just any physic, but with her I would.
DeleteSwitched to a different substance to abuse, that's cute, and I thought Bumble was one of the Transformers.
ReplyDeleteEither that or she just cute out the worst of the bunch.
DeleteI'm more Central in Beliefs too, Political and otherwise, someone far leaning can just be Too Much. I bought some beverages with Kombucha in them for the first time, flavored, but so far all of them are vile and I would not buy any more of it. I thought it was a Health Drink/Energy Drink since it was in that section... I simply assumed it held Health Benefits, but I can't get past the taste, which overshadows whatever Flavor it's mixed with. As for Psychics, some are fakes and others are accurate, my Mom used to do Readings on people, not for money, she was uncannily accurate and it freaked people out. She could just Read people like a Book without knowing anything about them or them saying anything to her specifically. I'm glad you like the Psychic you have doing your Readings and that they're decent. I never heard of Bumble, but the Vegan Kombucha Drinker Liberal, she probably is best left being Blog filler.
ReplyDeleteKombucha has a similar effect to alcohol. It is a way to say I alter my mind without saying I alter my mind.
Deleteno meat is not the same as vegan... but she does not sound very interesting.
ReplyDeleteyou could use something like firefly.ai to do a blog post about the reading!
There is much to unpack from the reading. Nothing particularly exciting. Posts to come.
DeleteIf someone can't even bother to read your profile to get some of the answers she asked, then it's not really worth your time.
ReplyDeleteHope the psychic reading goes well.
Exactly, it is fine if the swipe on the image, but you would think they would do a little research before starting a conversation.
