Wonderwall

Wonderwall-  Someone you find yourself thinking about all the time; someone you are infatuated with.

And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I
Would like to say to you but I don't know how
Because maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all, you're my wonderwall.. Wonderwall, Oasis

Last Wednesday before Firefly and I went on vacation, I had a repairman scheduled to come to the condo for an issue with my internet service.  Well, he arrived early while I was out, and when he could not reach me on the phone, he called Billy.  Her number must also still be on the account.  She ended up texting me.
Billy: The repairman from ATT called me saying he is on his way.  How is everything going.
I didn't reply.  This morning while I was catching up on my emails I noticed she emailed me on Saturday.
Billy: Hey.. did you get a new phone number? The repairman from att called me to say that they were on their way. I sent u a text but no response.. just checking in.
I have not replied to her email either.  Not sure I should.  What would be the point?  The only reason to reply would be to keep the door open.  I don't want that.  This Wednesday is her birthday.  My desire is to text her happy birthday but let's be honest, that isn't letting go.  What do you think?
I will update you on our vacation once I get caught up with work and the new truck :).

  1. I would text Billie, but you know me, i'm a hopeless romantic who believes in the fairy-tale ending even if it's bad for my mental health.

the way I approach life is I look at this present day and think this is your one day, your ONLY opportunity to say what you need to say to that only person that matters, take advantage of this present moment NOW. this works with Instagram, too...…...sometimes...

    1. Phoenix I was a hopeless romantic once too but those days are over now. I don't have anything nice to say and my feelings for her will probably never go away.

  2. I wouldn't. Was in a similar situation a long time ago and learned the difficulties that come with sloppy endings.

    1. We have had all our endings. She has made her choice and I am making mine.

  3. If you don't want to keep the door open, then don't reply. Like you said, what would be the point.

    1. Mary exactly. I don't want to open up that relationship again.

  4. What do you want the end result to be? Because in that lies the answer...

    1. I miss Billy, but I just don't see us getting back together. I would love to have her back, I just cannot take her back. The only reason to reach out to her would be in hopes of getting her back. So I have decided not to reach out to her.

  5. I agree with Jules, in that what you choose to do depends on what you want the result to be. I personally would not respond. Looks like you already came to that conclusion. BTW, this is Stained Glass...due to stalker issues, I don't want to put my entire blog title, since I am sure she will be searching my blog name. Just wanted to let you know I had to move blogs at least temporarily.
