Constant

The only difference
That I see
Is you are exactly the same
as you used to be...The Difference, The Wallflowers

I had a coworker stop by the condo the other day. I gave him a tour of the place. He indicated so much space would make him feel lonely. While it may be more than I need, I've never felt lonely in it. My condo has been the one unchanging constant since my divorce. People have come and gone, but the condo and I remain.

  1. People say my house is big, I like it. I'm sure you wear your condo as well as I wear my house.

    1. I think people would say the same thing. There is a certain comfort even for others in finding things the same.

    1. I guess, though one day I might not have a choice in whether I more. I think back to my dad's final days.

    1. I don't think I would be up to starting over in a new house. Some people find the need to change environments. I think I find solace in the ghosts from the past.

  4. Having a place that's yours to come home too and just feel safe and secure and comfortable, there's just really no replacing that.

    1. True. It would take years to rebuild that feeling in a new place.
